25 Bridges Around The World

Do you ever wonder how brilliant minds crated bridges all over the world since Roman times without the use of cranes or sophisticated laser guidance or modern materials and techniques ? The truly  interesting fact is that most of  those structures are still in use today.Probably this fact motivated modern engineers to design and build bridges that would blow Gustave Eiffel’s mind. Let’s take a look at some fabulous engineering wonders.
One of my favorite is the Millau Bridge in France .This is considered to be the world’s tallest bridge, with more than 50 feet taller that the Eifel Tower. After you jump take a look at some more impressive bridges from around the world.
Another amazing structure is in the USA. The Golden Gate Bridge is an iron giant suspended 150 meters  over the San Francisco Bay.It was first opened to general public in 1937 and is crossed by 118,000 cars per day ever since.

Pont du Gard is a notable ancient Roman project of civil engineering. It is part of a 50 km long aqueduct spreading along Southern France.

The Chinese architects designed and build an incredible modern, hi-tech bridge. Tsing Ma Bridge connects two of Hong-Kong’s islands and is an important section in the road network, running from Lantau to the international airport.
